Conveniently located 4km after the Arusha Airport, towards the popular safari circuit of Tarangire, N'gorongoro, Lake Manyara National Parks...Surrounded by coffee trees, acacia and the most astonishing flowers and birds.

All bedrooms are decorated with a mixture of exclusive Zanzibari style and modern hardwood furnishing. The place has a very peaceful and welcoming ambience with a fireplace lit in the evenings.

Many stunning birds such as fly catchers, lilac-breasted rollers and hornbills have made this paradise oasis their home. This green and picturesque location makes it an ideal spot for a family or a group of friends to relax, perhaps before or after a safari.

Our History

Meru House LEKISILAI

Over 150 tribes inhabit Tanzania - The Maasai, for one, arrived in this part of the great rift valley around 200 years ago! Their arrival had a profound effect on the area & its wildlife. Today, Maasai Land cradles the greatest wildlife spectacles left on earth.

"Meru House LEKISILAI" derives half its name from the majestic Mount. Meru, of which there is an unrivalled view of from the hotel. The second half, "Lekisilai", too, honours the name of a mountain -  a nearby Maasai mountain; held sacred by our Maasai neighbours.
